“Sekishō idai.” : The Pursuit of a Fastening Product

The predecessor of Toska‐Bano’k was established in 1968 by developing and manufacturing tag pins (licensing) and tools for their attachment to attach tags on apparel products, as shown on this patent.
The tagging system has not changed over the course of the past half-century, and a small invention has resulted in large innovation.
Since then, our company has been offering unique fastening products to the world that meet the changing needs of the customers and adapt to the environment by using our flexible imagination and high-tech plastic molding technology, which we’ve cultivated as a specialized manufacturer for industry roots.
Over the past 50 years, the Bano’k brand has gained a high degree of trust from its long list of accomplishments both within and beyond Japan, as a standard item in logistics and production.
Furthermore, in order to handle the globalization of the customer market, we’ve expanded our production and sales facilities. In 2014, we established a production and sales facility in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In 2019, we established a sales facility in Shanghai, China. We strive to expand our business overseas by organizing a framework for rapid development and supply.

There’s a word called “Sekishō idai.” It means to create something big by accumulating small things.
Thoroughly pursue a niche field and ultimately connect your vision to the world and produce something big.
The same applies for human resources. No matter how small, produce results by thinking and acting on your own. Those actions make positions, and those positions create people.
We will continue to proactively develop products and services that can be applied not only in the apparel industry, but in other new fields as well, as we provide new values that bring positive changes to the environment and society.

Our Technology

Unique technology

Toska-Bano'k continues to create resin products for "tagging", "tying" and "labeling", developing high innovative and proprietary technologies in the process.

The factors below have served as a core foundation for [Bano'k]. a world class brand well-known as a manufacturer of auxiliary materials in the apparel industry over a history of 50 years.
In search of further potential based on this core foundation, in recent years, we have been actively involved in the development and prototyping of products using bio-engineering plastic, biodegradable resins and super engineering plastic such as PEEK resins etc.

Extension Molding

Melted resin is injected into the mold, extending inside the mold before it solidifies.
As the resin extends, the molecules become oriented and the tensile strength increases as it becomes longer, finer and elastic.
Polyethylene bags etc. are also made using general extension techniques but our original technology is compatible with molds and allows the material to be injection molded, helping to reduce cost.

Multi-Cavity

The key points in reducing injection molding cost are the number of products that can be made with a single mold and the number of products that can be molded with a single injection.
It is not simply a matter of having more cavities as a high level of know-how regarding the fluidity of the resin, control of the molding conditions etc. is required to ensure stable mass production. Our original technology has been developed because of our continuous pursuit of cost reduction in auxiliary materials.

Insert Molding

Although insert molding is generally for metal parts etc. which are hard and whose dimensions are stable, we have developed insert molding technologies for threads and strings which are soft with inconsistent thicknesses. We also contribute to the added-value in terms of cost by achieving the functions that a resin has while making use of features and properties that are not available in a resin, rationalizing the assembly process and so on.

Special Molding

We also have an extensive track record in molding special shapes such as helical cams with a draft angle of 0 degree and resin springs etc.
We develop new products that other companies find difficult to produce and manufacture products that lead to the creation of new product value.

Manufacturing base: Miyoshi plant

In the Miyoshi plant which has been established as a development center, an integrated production system having assembly lines which can support not only prototyping but mass production too has been built. It mass produces auxiliary materials for mainly the apparel industry and aims to further contribute to customer satisfaction while achieving both cost reduction and quality assurance. As a specific example of our efforts in recent years, we have actively focused on the development of simple robots for unmanned assembly processes and the reduction of labor using specialized extraction machines.

While PEEK resins known as super engineering plastic are used for molded parts in the medical industry and space exploration, a "trial and error"method is repeated at the prototype development stage.

Product History

With a history of 50 years, [Bano'k], an original brand of Toska-Bano'k, is pursuing changes even now.

As an auxiliary material, [Bano'k] is also one of the oldest established brands in the apparel industry, maintaining a world-class quality in the industry and a name well-known all around the world.

Demonstrating an expanding range of applications, its use has also started to spread to the medical industry and field of space exploration.
